Climbing Mount Ararat is a doable 3-5 day venture for even beginner climbers, as long as you give yourself enough time to acclimatize at the higher elevation. The adventure starts in Cevirme Village in Doğubeyazıt, a town in the foothills with some neat historic landmarks and sites you can visit before or after your trek. The Bodrum Ancient Theatre is cool to see as a 4th-century waterfront amphitheater just steps from the city center that is still used today for concerts and performances. [newline]The crescent-shaped Bitez Beach and cove is alluring with its gorgeous views and access to the Aegean for water sports, like diving and snorkeling, and plenty of waterfront restaurants and bars to check out along the shore. Antalya is equal parts luxury beachfront and ancient history, with its prime location on the Turkish Riviera along the southern Mediterranean coast.
How To Get Around Turkey
It’s a type of Turkish pizza, but with the pizza-esque toppings served on flatbread. One of my favourite toppings is lamb, spinach, and local sheep’s cheese. You can expect to spend around $2-3 on pide and $4-6 on kebabs and kofte.

Admire Architectural Splendor In Istanbul
Here are just a few of these unforgettable experiences on a Trafalgar Turkey tour. Created by tricking mineral waters over millennia, the bright-white travertines (terraces) of Pamukkale are surely one of the most photographed sites in Türkiye, gleaming incongruously above this rural town Vacanze Turquia like freshly fallen snow. The naturally warm water that flows through the pools was the basis for the ancient spa city of Hierapolis, whose extensive ruins sprawl out along the adjacent hilltop. Today, you can enjoy the warm waters at various spa resorts set outside the terraces area.
Highlights Of Turkey
There are so many stops along the coast that it’s worth making an overnight stay half-way in the seaside town of Kas. With its whimsical landscape, ethereal beauty and balloon-filled sky Cappadocia is otherworldly. Magical valleys stretch as far as the eye can see and the sunrise hot air balloons are a once in a lifetime experience. The coastal areas and the Aegean and Mediterranean regions are popular summer destinations, while the inland areas are best visited in spring or autumn. Winter can be cold in Turkey, especially in the mountains, but it can also be a magical time to visit, especially if you want to experience a traditional Turkish winter festival. Sultan Cave Suites is the most Instagrammed place in Cappadocia, thanks to the Do You Travel and Gypsy Lust duo.
It goes over the Galata Bridge from where you will see amazing views. One of the courtyards overlooks the “Golden Horn” (where the Sea of Marmara meets the Bosporus River waters), so you will get amazing views and photos. Many people say that it is the best viewpoint to see the golden horn of the old quarter of Istanbul, overlooking the Bosphorus Strait and Galata Tower.
Çıralı is among Turkey’s best beach towns, and also on of its most laid-back. If you want more than the sand though, it’s also the best base from which to visit the eternal flame of the Chimaera and the ruins of Ancient Olympos nearby. It’s easy to get around between towns using public bus services, but to tick off all four Lycian city sites on the route between Fethiye and Patara, you’d need to rent a car. Plan for 10 days but factor in a few more if you want to add in time at some of Turkey’s best beaches. Bus from Denizli direct down to explore Antalya and then follow the Beaches & Ruins of the Turquoise Coast itinerary, backwards up the coast to Fethiye’s many seaside charms. UNESCO World Heritage Site Ephesus will take up much of your time, and beach lovers may want to explore the port town of Kuşadası while in the area, just 18 kilometers from the Ephesus ruins.
Swissotel in Istanbul offers some of the best views of the Bosphorus strait and has conference rooms and spa facilities available whether you’re travelling for business or pleasure. Take advantage of the Swissotel’s shuttle service to easily connect with Ataturk or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Four Seasons Hotel at Sultanahment is a stone’s throw away from the old city center which houses the famous Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Grand Bazaar. The Istanbul metro will easily transport you between Sultanahmet and Ataturk International Airport just under 10 miles away.
I did a part of it too because I was alone and I wanted to get back to the main street before it got dark and head to a sunset spot. Zemi Valley is also known as Love Valley because of its penis-shaped structures – more politely called the fairy chimneys. The entire Zemi Valley hike is 3.3 miles and is strenuous at times but you will be able to enjoy the surrounding view. You will spend easily 1 hour here exploring the beauty of this place.
